The question on barrel length and is it accurate the longer the barrel has been asked many times! It has happen to me but now they have solved it.
The longer the barrel doesn’t mean the more accurate you are going to shoot! The only barrel on paintball that makes a different is the famous flat line barrel from Tipman. That is the best barrel on the market due to that the ball inside is spinned around making it very accurate and shooting strait.
This is why markers like Eclipse and Dye are designing barrel and Bolts to make the ball spin inside. Eclipse and Dye 2 piece barrels are the best out there coz you can change when paintball differ on a game.
The size of the barrel in side like 6.92 or 6.93 what makes the difference, the ball should sit inside the barrel forced like this air will not go either side of the ball when shot, the ball shouldn’t fall the other side of the barrel when placed inside.
as paul from tippmann said the only problem with the flatline barrel is the fact that it is quite large and doesn't give a good fit. the best barrel out there is the straightline barrel from tippmann as you can change the inserts to suit the size of your paint. the only way to get more accurate is to have a consistent paint size and a matched barrel. most people don't realise that the paint is just as important as the barrel!!
anyway droping the air pressure/ speed the ball leaves the barrel also improves accuracy. the faster the ball travels the more the imperfections in the paintball affect the flight. that is why pro teams use high end paint and never use old paint. obviously at our level we don't have that option so you just have to do the best with what you can afford/get.
In other words ppl buy a 50 euro paintball, with no dents with a clean barrel that the ball fits tight and shooting at normal speed 270 fps the ball should go strait
